School Initiatives

The Wellread literacy initiative in Mulroy College
As part of our promotion of literacy, Mulroy College is part of the Wellread initiative.  As a Wellread school we encourage reading for enjoyment throughout the entire school community.  There have been many events that have taken place in which both students and teachers have got involved including Reading Challenges, teachers sharing their favourite books, our parents’ Book Club, the introduction of a free reading app for all students, Blind Date with a book  and READ DL  for which all first years read the chosen book together. In Mulroy, we believe that developing a habit of reading is beneficial in so many ways to all of our students.
