Two Mulroy College students, Jason Murray and Oisin O Donnell, have been chosen to participate in the centre for Talented Youth Ireland in DCU over the summer. The CTYI Summer Programme.  is for young people aged between 12 and 16 years, who have been identified as having high academic ability (95th percentile in mathematical and/or verbal reasoning). The programme offers enrichment courses, which take the form of 3-week academic programmes. Students choose from a wide range of courses, usually only seen at university level learning. The programme offers these students classes that run at a much faster pace, with high level course material.

Both students completed the PSAI test and were successfully accepted in the second level category. This is Jasons second year to be chosen. Last year he completed a course in App design which he really enjoyed. This year he will be participating in a Robotics course. Jason commented, “that this was a wonderful experience, I learnt so much throughout the course. I feel privileged to be getting the opportunity to return and work on Robotics this year.”
