Mulroy College have entered a team into the relay for life Donegal event. They have been busy organising events such as a music quiz, a cinema fun day in the college, orienteering quiz and a general knowledge quiz. These were all greatly successful, we are also running a draw with sponsored prizes such as :
1st Prize : Signed Celtic Jersey
2nd Prize : €20.00 Voucher
3rd Prize : Box Of Chocolates.
The theme of the relay for life is to celebrate, remember and to fight back. By bringing the community together we can really bring these themes alive. There will be information about the full relay event in the LYIT available on the 16th of May in Mulroy College and we will also be bringing the fun to the fight back against cancer campaign.
Every family is affected by cancer in some way. Every day someone new in Donegal is faced with those words and everyday we can make a difference. By being more proactive we can all reduce our chances of having cancer by 50% . Transition Year students in Mulroy College Milford are holding a Mini Relay at the college on Thursday the 16th of May to raise funds for Relay for Life. A mini relay course will be set up in the gym and will be open to the public throughout the day. It will begin at 11:30 AM and conclude at 3:30 PM. The cost to take part in the Mini Relay is a minimum of €1 or a donation of your choice. Everyone welcome and we would greatly appreciate your support.
