Mulroy College student Roisin Boyce was awarded the Ernest Walton STEM Bursary for the prestigious college this week.
Roisin, pictured here with her mother Suzanne, will now be studying Physiotherapy for the next number of years.
This highly sought after award is part of the Department of Education and Skills Third Level Bursary Scheme.
Eight bursaries are awarded on a regional basis (two each in Dublin, rest of Leinster, Munster, Connaught/Ulster) to students from DEIS schools who pursue courses at third level in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM).
As one of only eight successful students in the country Roisin will receive financial and academic supports during her studies at Trininty College.
Principal Ms Fiona Temple stated “We are very proud of Roisin and congratulate her for this wonderful and richly deserved achievement. Roisin worked very hard throughout her time in Mulroy College and I have no doubt her success will continue in Trinity College.”
