Niamh Boyle a Transition Year student from Mulroy College won a gold award in the Connacht Gold young Chef of the year. This competition was open to all students throughout Ireland and took place in St Angelas College Of Home Economics last week. Niamh had chosen to prepare, cook and serve Marinade fish kebabs with rice and Eves Pudding within the hour and half allocated. After receiving her Gold award, Niamh said “ that it is her ambition to become a Home Economics teacher and now I know that this is what I want to do. I loved the experience”. Ms Mc Ateer, her Home Economics teacher thanked Mary and Mark Wheeler from Rathmullan House for the use of the tableware which really set off the foods.nn
