Mulroy College took part in the One Million Trees in One Day project where each first year student planted their own tree on the school grounds. This was a cross curricular activity which will encourage students to be more environmentally conscious.
The project was co-ordinated by Ms Catherine Crawford, Mrs Aisling Mc Ateer and Mrs Susan Mc Kelvey.
One Million Trees in One Day is a cross border initiative to plant a million young native trees at many different sites across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Many thanks to Rosemary Crawford and Sally O Donnell who went to Armagh to collect the trees so this fantastic project could go ahead.
