Mulroy College has bid farewell to school administrator Theresa McGettigan.
Theresa finished up at the Milford-based secondary school on Friday February 14th and is now looking forward to her retirement, where she was described by the Board of Management, staff, students and parents as “the very fabric of our school.”
“Today is going to be a very emotional day for everyone in Mulroy College,” the school posted on Friday. “After 44 years of phenomenal service with Donegal ETB/VEC and 33 of those years spent with us in Mulroy College, we prepare to bid a very fond farewell to our beautiful friend and colleague, Theresa McGettigan.
“Theresa is the very fabric of our school. She keeps the show on the road every single day. There’s never a problem she can’t solve! Theresa is our first port of call for absolutely everything! The office door is always open and we rarely leave without a laugh and a smile!
“Theresa, thank you for everything you have given to us in Mulroy College. Thank you for your help, support, kindness, care, friendship and love. Some people are just magic. Theresa is one of those. On behalf of our Board of Management, staff, students and parents we wish you the happiest and healthiest retirement. We will miss you immeasurably.”
