Attendance at School:
Regular attendance at school is a positive indicator of a pupil’s commitment to their studies. Parents are asked to support their children in arriving at school, on time, every day and to avoid taking a student from school during the school day, unless it is absolutely necessary.
Good attendance ensures greater success for your son/daughter.
We reward good attendance through various incentives throughout the year.
Student Journal
In Mulroy College the Student Journal is an extremely important resource for all our students. Students are required to have their student journal with them at all times throughout the school day, and it must be visibly on your desk throughout every class. The Student Journal provides students with information on the School Code of Behaviour, Assessment, Timetables, study techniques, health & wellbeing, and Anti-bullying.
Book Rental Scheme
We offer a book rental scheme to all Senior Cycle students enrolled in Mulroy College.
All information is forwarded to parents in summer in advance of the school year and all payment is made through the Way2Pay system.
In 2024, the Government introduced a new scheme from the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Under this scheme all schoolbooks and core classroom resources for students in Junior Cycle years in post-primary schools are provided to students directly by their school. There is no charge to parents/guardians for this.
Terms related to the Junior Cycle book scheme are available here.
Lockers
At the beginning of the Academic year, each student is provided with a locker and key. It is extremely important that students make at least two copies of their key, give a spare key to their class teacher and keep a spare key at home.
If locks need to be replaced due to keys being lost, a charge of 10 Euro will be incurred.
It is the student’s own responsibility to look after their locker and the contents of the locker. No items should be lying on the floor around your locker, or they will be removed.
Stationery Supplies
All Junior Cycle students receive all stationery required at the start of the school year through the Junior Cycle Scheme.
Please note the terms of this scheme here.
All Seniors acquire their own stationery each year.
All students must bring all necessary equipment to school each day and take full responsibility for all items.
